"Effective collaborative negotiation requires learning the interests of the other party"

WELCOME

Friedman & Associates, as a consultant to management, works with senior management, architects, interior designers, facility managers, purchasing departments, real estate professionals and others to enable companies to reduce the costs of their facility projects while simultaneously increasing the value of the products and services they purchase.

Our focus is on PROCESS, using our data and experience to enhance your team and backstop their efforts--especially making sure they understand consequences of their decisions.  We reduce costs and gain added value for our clients whether bidding or negotiating.  We have the data, comps, benchmarks, experience and skill sets to take advantage of opportunities in the marketplace to maximize our clients' outcomes.

We assist our clients by doing the research and the homework.  Working with your design team, and even your senior executives, we provide benchmark information and cost data to create a comprehensive and effective purchasing strategy.

We have seen all too often that a degree in design or architecture does not necessarily guarantee success in the negotiation.  That is why we join WITH your facilities team to SUPPORT their efforts.  As experienced negotiators, we understand the need for information to ensure your success.  We have the knowledge, experience and the research which, coupled with our background and training enables us to negotiate successful outcomes for our clients

A NOTE ON THE CHANGING NATURE OF THE OFFICE,
THE GENERATION GAP, AND WORK ITSELF

Given the dramatic changes that are occurring in how people communicate, how they process information, and how work itself is changing, management must adjust to ensure its organization's viability and growth.  Modifying the office environment to accommodate these evolutionary events is critical in that process.  Mr. Friedman and our Associates have embraced these challenging circumstances and assist our clients with essential information and creative ideas necessary to respond to emerging concepts for the office of the future.

Please read on for a better understanding of these important issues and the role Friedman & Associates can play in supporting our clients' needs.
